Well, we are back from ICUEE 2011. This was our first time hosting an outside booth at ICUEE and I am glad to say that we found it a great success. For those who don't know, ICUEE is our industry's largest tradeshow. The show itself took place in beautiful Louisville, KY. It was a three day event that took place from October 1st to 3rd. There were many different types of companies present at ICUEE, many of which were already part of our HDD Broker network.
Now, each organization has its own objective on why they choose to invest in ICUEE. For HDD Broker, our objective and reason for investment is simple. As we have done for a decade and will continue to do for the many to come, we want to strengthen our communication with our customer. From the conception of HDD Broker, we have taken pride in filling a need and making fair objective negations between seller and buyer. At the show, we meet over a hundred representatives from Ditch Witch, Vermeer, American Auger, and many other manufactures. We had the opportunity to sit down and talk about their objectives, current struggles, and give our opinion with market trends. As a result, we have strengthened and grown our network in potential listing, international logistics, and witnessed the debut of new products that will shape the used equipment market for 2012.
In addition, we were able to establish great dialogue with many different buyers around the world. In fact, we negotiated the international sale of at least two rigs the second day of the show. Most importantly, we were a able to connect with a variety of buyers and continue to grow our knowledge base of the used equipment market, such as, pin-pointing buying indicators and the reasons behind the purchase or lack of. In truth, our discussions with buyers were a great insight on a buyer's expectation, needs, and wants. In moving forward, the information we attain will help us create a better service.
Most importantly, we had the opportunity to remind our current users about the many different services that HDD Broker provides to our registered users. We were able to give real-time answers about listings, our company, and the benefits that we bring. We were able to discuss market growth in relation to international markets as well as the common issues encountered by first time international shippers and exporters.
ICUEE 2011 marks the beginning of our 2012 HDD Broker Network campaign and our efforts to get direct feedback from our supply chain and end users. In addition, it gives us an opportunity to show those who are new to the industry why our customers describe us as Simply Better. In moving forward, HDD Broker will be continuing to UCT 2012 in San Antonio, TX. I hope to see new faces there.
